We think we can improve the Language Show for 2018. Here are some changes already planned;
Venue – we intend to move back to Olympia in 2018, the home of the Language Show for the previous 13 years. We have booked a new, modern hall at Olympia called Olympia West.
Dates – our dates will be 9-11 November 2018 and our move to early November avoids half term, the Frankfurt Book Fair and Expolingua Berlin.
Everything on one floor – we think what works best for exhibitors and visitors alike is for all parts of the show to be in the same place and so in our new venue, we’ll keep everything – exhibitors, seminars and classes – all on one floor. (To reduce noise conflicts we plan to use silent-seminar technology utilising RF headsets).
Content – we think great seminars, talks, features and classes are how you get busy people to visit shows and we think we can make them even better, more useful and more interesting. We also think they should all be free.
Marketing – we think everyone who loves languages, especially teachers, loves languages because language opens up their world and so we’ll use colourful and exciting images of the world in our marketing to entice visitors.
Just one show – we’re not going to run the show in Scotland again, only in London.
Nurture – we’ve run over 35 different trade and consumer fairs but the Language Show was always our favourite so we intend to look after it carefully.
